When iron and manganese are present in your water, it's important to know their concentration levels. Our filter takes into account the WHO standards for iron and manganese, with iron levels ≤ 0.3mg/L and manganese levels ≤ 0.1mg/L.
Depending on the concentration levels, our filter offers different solutions. For lower levels of iron and manganese (Iron < 2.0mg/L, Mn < 2mg/L), aeration is recommended. By using a blast pump or air compressor, the water is aerated and the pH is adjusted if necessary. A single iron removal filter is then used.
For higher levels of iron and manganese (Iron ≥ 5mg/L, Mn ≥ 1.5mg/L), a two-step process is employed. First, aeration is carried out, followed by the use of a double iron removal filter. This ensures effective removal of both iron and manganese.
