Our water softener is designed to remove hardness ions from raw water, providing you with softened water for various applications. When water with calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) ions flows through the exchanging filter, these ions are exchanged and absorbed by sodium (Na+) in the resin. This process lowers the carbonate and noncarbonate levels in the water, resulting in reduced hardness.
When the resin becomes saturated with Ca2+ and Mg2+, it can be regenerated by flushing it with salt water.
