As the water flows through our specially designed manganese sand filter, the oxidized ions come into contact with the filter surface, where they undergo biochemical and physical adsorption interception. This process causes the iron and manganese ions to precipitate and be removed from the water. Our system is particularly effective in treating micro-polluted groundwater containing manganese, iron, and manganese bacteria.
