1. First, please provide us with the concentration of iron and manganese in the water. This information is crucial for determining the appropriate treatment method.


2. Refer to the World Health Organization (WHO) standards for iron and manganese concentrations. The recommended limits are iron ≤ 0.3mg/L and manganese ≤ 0.1mg/L.


3. If the iron concentration is less than 2.0mg/L and manganese is less than 2.0mg/L, we suggest using aeration with a blast pump or air compressor. If the pH level is low, it is important to adjust the pH accordingly. Additionally, a single iron removal filter should be used.


4. If the iron concentration is equal to or greater than 5.0mg/L and the manganese concentration is equal to or greater than 1.5mg/L, a two-step process is recommended. Begin with aeration, followed by the use of a double iron removal filter. The first filter will remove iron, and the second filter will remove manganese.

After precipitation, the ferric iron can be removed through a manganese sand filter. Finally, an activated carbon filter is used to eliminate any remaining color, ensuring the water meets the required standards.
